Sometimes it's not the car, or the builder, but the person responsible for it existing in the first place. That person for me was Leland Grantz. This man had a profound affect on me personally, and I new him but for one short year. He was ready to meet his maker, and had already touched his hand twice, but just wasn't quite ready for the trip. His family told me that I gave them one more year of their Husband and Father. It was simple. I told him that my buddy and I would finish and restore the '50 Chev convert that he had bought new, in San Francisco, but that he had to stick around to help. It was a full custom that Leland had his friend, Gene Winfield, work on, starting in 1952, and never really completed. I wish now that we had taken longer, as I wasn't done listening to his stories about his life. I took Leland for a ride in his cruizer when it was done, and when we got back to the shop, he was crying. I asked if he was okay, and he replied that he was, but that his "bucket" was empty. Riding in his Chevy was the last thing on his list, and now he was happy to meet the Man...... A week later he did just that.

Not one mention of the super famous west coast Canadian @Fitnessguy ??!! Wow I'm astonished eh @Stogy ?! Built a killer unchopped 409 powered coupe and is now building a 56 chevy with over 50 years of family history including a 4 door conversion!! :D:D I sound like a crazy politician tooting his own horn! ha ha
The gentlemen's coupe build thread gave me great motivation early on when I started my coupe build. @Cody Walls ardun killer has been a great build thread and then fellow Canuck @Jeff Norwell thread on his 57.

You are an inspiration @Fitnessguy...I love so many builds on the Hamb I'd have trouble naming them all let alone choose favorites...yes I do follow your journeys and you have definitely done an admirable walk since you took the Coupe off my hands...and you without a doubt like power and show quality finish...the Ole Tri Five is really looking good too...let's just say all you Hoodlums I follow are #1 in my books...;)...Keep on Keepen on and thanks to you all for keeping me pumped about Hotrod/Custom...;)

Not to slight anyone of the fine Craftsman here, but all builds pale in comparison to what the H.A.M.B. did for Andy. JMHO

Rcnut223 and his thread, saving a 32 ford body. Its one that blows me away. There are lots of great builds on here. Screenshot_2022-03-29-22-18-55.png Screenshot_2022-03-29-22-19-32.png

...I'm not tooting my horn because this was Jerry's 2010 build for the wife...:D

I'm third owner and its changed a little under VoodooTwin's ownership and a bit under my own but Jerry's (@HomemadeHardtop57)vision is all Vintage Hotrod as still resonates proudly through it all...

I share the Thread, much is Redx'd not all though but I populated the last page with images I found related to that generation of build...It's too bad because Jerry's Threads are very detailed and fun to watch...

  24. @BanditBilly's '41 Ford p/u build
    @The 39 guy's '39 build
The current custom Ranchero build (can't remember the name though)
There are, and have been many..I appreciate anyone who posts their builds (on this site, considering the talent, it can be humbling).

Ditto! Langy's Willys coupe build is it for me. Not just because I love gassers, but because of all the custom built parts he fabricated and the overall look of his Willys when it was done. Sure miss his posts.

So many good threads and builders. Enjoy builders who show in great detail their processes to build cars with a minimum of equipment and the tools most of use posses. Able to build great rides with a lot of hard work with a lean wallet. The builders that turn the unsalvageable into great cars. Builders not afraid to show others where it went a bit sideways and how they overcame. Finally this great community that leans in to help each other when it counts.
Appreciate too many but the short list is,
The 39 guy - Uncle Mikes 40 coupe, 54 Mercury and 39 phaeton
    swissmike, Cadmad
Auliz, The 40 & 41 Ford truck & car builders.
    Flynbrian48, Aw1950 amazing 1951 buick,
    Rockable, late LM14
Squirrel and especially the Lemon road trips with his humour.
and many many more great builders present and past.
