If that doesn't make you tear up just a little, you're dead inside.

Kind of weird that the car was a 65 396 Impala. I'm putting the finishing touches on a 396 for a numbers matching 65 Impala rebuild today.

Also know where there is a 65 Impala/396/4 speed that is sitting in a barn within 10 miles of here. The original owner (lady) still has the car. Car has been maintained all it's life and it probably wouldn't take a day to get it running and driving.

Awww hell. I was reading the responses thinking, "Give me a break, you guys are crying... Really?" Now, here I am, sitting here with my eyes all welled up after watching it.

    Great little video.

    In '66 I had a '65 Impalla,black on black,396 4 speed. I loved the car,hated the payments. Looking back,as much as I enjoyed the Impalla, I think I would rather have the
'57 Nomad I traded on it. The Nomad was ,a 327 dual quad motor, with a 4 speed. That wasn't the last dumb thing I did either.

First time I saw the ad I thought "Dear God, he's gonna keel over dead from a heart attack" The dad was really overcome by the whole thing, nice to see something on TV with a happy ending.

Very cool story about a good looking car -but how awesome would it have been for dad to hop in and lay 300 feet of rubber, just like the good old days?

I liked how the dad was like Hey, that's my Chevy. I also thought that he was headed for heart attack at that point.
