Convert your Model A Tudor to a Woody?

Convert your Model A Tudor to a Woody?

I love the automotive how-to articles in old Popular Mechanics issues- Some tips are actually very practical for cars of our era, other projects are downright bizarre (I’m looking at you, ‘running board dog carrier’). There’s also the stories I would never think of… Like taking a Model A Ford Tudor sedan and converting it onto a wood panel-covered station wagon. Depending on your wood-working and skill level, this could be a really cool Depot Hack, or just a hack job. Keep in mind, Ford made a 4 door Woody Station Wagon, but not a 2 door version, so this is a one-off style. Read along as the author makes plywood siding and bravely cuts the entire back cap off of the sedan to extend the body. I’m still not entirely sure how the roof edges mate to the upper body sides? Maybe there a reason the photo of the finished car image is ready small and only shown from one side…
