Here's a story:
One time this guy built a really fugly custom, drove it once, became the joke of the neighborhood, and it's been sitting in the side yard ever since. The end.

Ya know, every once in a while somebody posts a car that they don't agree with.
All about fitting in with the peer group I guess. Regardless of whether you like the car or not, you gotta give the guy credit for seeing the project through to completion. Which is a lot more than you can say about some people on this board....

There was already a big post on this car a while back. This thread reads just like that thread. If I recall right, it was never a show car or anything... just somebody's project.

all that talent with a torch and hammer , and absolutely zero sense of style! Even if it was any other color it would still be REALLY ugly! But it reminds me of that Johny Cash song about "one piece at a time, and it didnt cost me a dime"

Interesting is all that comes to mind. Something like that should not be allowed to see the light of day. It is now your responsibility to hide so you don't give any of the little ones nightmares.

Looks like it should be bass boat flake & on some carnival ride with a motorcycle in front and a boat behind, where it goes up over the little humps and the kiddies can honk the horn....

Regardless of what you may think, there is some serious work put into that one. I'd love to have it and restore it to it's former glory. VonDutch, thanks for that link, it really gave a better look to the over all car seeing it from all the different angles. It is a very good representation of some of the gawdy customs from the late '50's and early '60's. It was all about excess, and that car has it. I truly dig the speedboat look on the rear end, classic '60's style.
