2 months ago I started with my project here are some pics of what I've done till yet the start engine is out took it apart sanded down to metall and paintet the frame shiny black and the fire wall beige (car colour - the second one will be a dark red) now the engine -- cleaning painted and assambled next was frenching the cad tail lights 1 inch ok -- back to the front -- frame was painted and all other stuff is powder coated, -- assambled with dropped spindles and 1 inch dropped springs in front and 2 inch drop in rear install the engine installing exhaust and brake booster, valve,lines last week I sandblasted the fenders,hood deck lid... a lot of welding (this inner fender is the good one) was necessary after that a lot of grinding was next, to have a nice surface under the car and this is how the car looks like now -- damn a lot of work is coming, but I'm trying to get done as much as possible because in 2 month my son will be borne and time will getting rare
Nice work.........your future son (hot rodder) will love touring around in his baby seat in the back of that sweet 58......good luck with the rest of the build!!
thanx guys - it's always good to hear other people like the progress -- hope to get it ready till summer - the 58 should be our family car - all the other cars aren't really baby related, and my wife will kill me if I will drive without her and the baby to events next year, only because of there's no space for them
WOW, That is looking Sweet !!!! Keep up the good work. Now start waking up around 3 am and go to the garage for about a hour or 2 to get used to the new bundle of joy !!!!
etienne - the biscayne will be classic - two tone - beige / dark red with steelies and www's, shaved , single grill bar and that stuff and you'll wonder - sometimes I am in the garage at 3am - sick - isn't it
did a little more work - cleand the dash the floor is ready too - inside pix I painted the innerfenders and bolted all the stuff together - just waitin for the radiator to fix all lines -- can't wait to start the baby my next work is trying to find out witch chrome I'll keep
some things I've done are -- radiator rebuilt, new (shorter and all that stuff you'll need to run a th700) driveshaft -- all lines are done for tranny and so on --- and a lot of work was the steering wheel new old

car looks fantastic!!! I have been helping a buddy of mine on his 58 and one of the things we did was to take the stainless trim that is on the rear quarter panels and flip them 180 degrees, then remove the stainless on the doors and front fenders. I really changed the look. Good luck with the rest of the car.
