Kool post!! This is my dream ride.....One of these days I want to be this
kat in the roadster. I guess it will be a dream until I get wet for the first
time behind the wheel. LOL!!! One of my all time favorite pictures ever
posted on the HAMB. This would make a great poster.....

Ive been there too...with no top or windshield....more than once....one time was across town for a shindig....another 1.5 hr trip home from the strip in a car i had just revamped for a buddy...it was a shit ton of fun until i couldnt breather through my bandana and the monsoon down pours started...rain hurts like a mutha!!!!

rain sucks but snow is worse, these are from jimmy's ranch run a couple years back, we were to stupid to drive a closed car. i think it was 12* in julian that morning, it gives a good story but at the time it was miserible. we stopped in to a bakery and took the gloves off that little exposed chunk of skin between the jacket and glove was purple. sometimes it's better to be stupid and miserable in a roadster than cozy in a coupe.

chick and parvin followed but they had tops

and one from a regular sunny so-cal day following my dad down pch

I can testify to that. She drove from Detroit to York Pa. in the pouring rain with no top. She and her friend looked like the Gloucester fishermen in their full yellow rain gear.

Fortunately the rain subsided prior to this picture.

That's from the Rodder's Journal #12, The Topless Tour. My buddy Dal Middleton, is in that feature too, although in a 39 Cabriolet. I agree, maybe Steve Coonan, could make it into a poster, Hint , Hint.

There is nothing like it. Driving my '26 is like a slightly larger go cart out on the road amongst all the grownups. I feel like I am doing something very illegal whenever I drive it. As for the weather, hunker down and get below the windshield so that biting air does not freeze your face. But the smells and sound of the engine bouncing off it's surroundings is enough to keep my ass warm.....well at least my soul.
