If you haven't done so already, "Wheels for the World: Henry Ford, His Company, and a Century of Progress" by Douglas Brinkley is an excellent story.

Super interesting and detailed, it's 764(!!!) pages of early experiments, failed businesses, family heirs and all sorts of stuff. Only covers from 1903 - 2003, so it's pretty limited in scope, hahaha!
