i noticed some fenders on 40-41 ford & willys p/u's that are not the stock ones they appear to be 28-34 p/u fenders, what r u guys using they sure look better than stock.
hey ty skid, looking at those fenders all are "bobbed" in the back similiar to late twenties early thirties ford trucks, cars wont fit as they are curved to the body, the following pics are also 40-41 willys but not "bobbed" im not interested in the expense of the willys fenders, the bulky look of 50's chevy's but the more economical earlier ford they are more plentiful needing work yes but i get the look i like & price. i can p/u fenders from a 29 truck that need alot of work but salvageable for $100 . btw those early 50's chevy truck fenders do look real good, thanks again for the info
Good 40 Ford pickup rear fenders are hard to find. I stole the steel ones off my 40 pickup and replaced with glass ones. Using them on anther 40 project just to keep it all steel and I will sale my black one this spring. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=527407
sad but true, 40 rear fenders are hard to find and many are beat up. I got a couple beat up ones welded to a bed at a swap meet, didn't want the bed but .....
