  2. That's awesome! I will be doing a mechanical rebuild soon on my dad's 38 Chevy he finished in 1982. Lots of upgrades and fixes coming!

  3. Oh the good old days of the HAMB when it first started. Like you, we all have the reset date but were around for all the versions beforehand. I remember you asking a lot of questions when you put your roadster together and it's awesome now with your skills and knowledge a lot stronger that now you can build the roadster of your dreams. Can't wait for the next updates. Member number 141.

Great to hear! I remember sitting at the first HAMB Drags BSing with you! We are all at much different places in our lives than we were 20+ years ago.

  5. I also just picked up a set of 32 rails for a rebuild but after 11 years on the road I'm second guessing if I want to change the character and feel of my roadster. I do enjoy it as is.

  6. I'm a late comer and haven't been around the Hamb as long as you but I lurked for a good while before I was coarsened into joining, I love your roadster and it will only get better with the updates you have planed. HRP

Seriously, cool to see the want to do it again!

Since you are building a whole new chassis, why not jut get another body and leave the old roadster alone?

  15. Yes! I've long admired that little roadster. It will be good to see it on the road soon! Will it be at Speed Week in August?

Did you and your car did a cameo in Chasing Classic Cars a few years back?

They say hot rods are never finished, but at one point they become "famous"/well know for just how they look. Your roadster has reached that point to some like me. I would be hard pressed to change a thing, especially the headlight wiring. I still remember your post about you and your son driving home with him using your phone for headlights. I guess I have owned too many jalopies over the years not to appreciate them more in the work in progress state. However I'm sure your roadster will be killer when you reach the "finished" state and it establishes another look in it's history.

El Hueso- I'm guessing it will be in pieces by August, but if not, I can't think of a better shake-down run than Bay Area to Bonne...

Thanks Ron! Hope to catch up with you someday soon... I'm thinking about doing some reincarnation of the Asphalt Invitational, so I'll keep you updated!
