  1. Man,I totally agree! HRP

  2. Tomorrow, posting photos of a '57 Chevy 150 Handyman (2dr...) It's in about the same condition as that Pontiac a couple posts above. probably a pretty good place to start tho,
as you will see, it needs plenty of attention. Don't know the seller but he wrote $4500 OBO or partial trade... I want a Gremlin... sorry for the tease...

The '60 as it sits today...big blok in and tranny mount built...had to go find a steering box, that's why that part is painted black. The rest of the suspension will be rebuilt and painted factory black.

Hold your hand over your right eye to view the car, that way you can disregard the pink rim:D...it'll get five spokes all the way around.

  6. Is that a factory 2 door Roger? I didn´t even know they made one.
    Wonder if there´s a 61 2 door wagon?

Yep, factory two door...called a Brookwood (Biscayne cheap model) and only a total of 14,663 two door wagons built (assume that total covers all models).

According to the info I have, there were no 2 door wagons built in 1961...

  8. Cool car.

Can´t help but wonder how that would look with a coupe/hardtop screen and pillarless side windows grafted in. Probably unworkable, due to the rear glass, but it mightn´t look too bad if you could do it.

    Pity about the `61s.

Well, get after it...I've seen your photoshop work...

I can envision a '55-'57 Nomad/Safari type angled pillar -angled to match the rear side pillar, remove the small quarter vent window to open it up some and sink the curved glass into the body to shorten the height, especially if you use a shorter hardtop windshield...

I thought about having my 57 Ford Country Sedan chopped... spoke to Dick Dean and he said wagons were harder than sedans... He usually shifted the top forward and leaned the rear gate window without cutting it (curved glass)... made sense... I kick myself now that I didn't have him do it... he was planning to chop the factory windshield... but, with what I know today... I would use the hardtop windshield...

Not easy... changes A pillar angle and requires more door work... same as my Ranchero... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=567430

Very Kool James...that's a nice looking wagon...looks like the "builder" might have to have a two door hardtop roof and w/s to add to the wagon...but damn that's Kool...!!!

Updated pic of mine after a wheel and tire change. I sold the 15X7 torq thrust II's and changed to Halibrand 15X6 and 15X8 with 195-65's and 235-70's.

Hope you guys do not mind the late year model of mine. This is my slowly progressing `68 Dodge Dart sedan delivery street come drag car. ;)

I thought I saw a round medallion on the front, do you have any photos of that? It's a long roof after all! :D

I have a thing for DeSoto and Fargo trucks, I have a couple of Fargos and Dodges, but would love the bits to convert one into a DeSoto!
