I like the idea of a timing tag spinoff. Shake it up!

I like the idea of a change well enough ,however if we are putting a car on it, it probably should be a traditional roadster of some sort.
Maybe even one of the well known hot rods from the past.
A certain Blue track T comes to mind as well as others.
Heck we could do a different "Tribute tag" every year.
    Create some real collectables. :)

I think making it look like a timing tag "in brass" is a great idea......

  14. Looks good to me.

  15. If the new tags are to be etched brass, yes! The design you have even though it is quick and rough has the look of the early timing tags. If you go brass don't go too thick, the early scta tags were around 20-21 gauge thickness.

I like the idea as long as it doesn't end up looking like just another dash plaque. The cool thing about the current tags is that you can spot an Alliance members car with a glance, If the new one does that I'm game.
I'd agree 100% that the hole spacing should match the current tags as that makes a switch an easy thing.

The present tags are readily identifiable from 50' , new rectangular ones are cool for a change but the shape is not distinctive. Change because we can or do we need too? I know the new concept is just that , but on the originals the most dominant thing was the word HAMB.

Hey, Ryan, I think your idea of a "timing tag" is super. I love my Alliance plaques; they readily identify a HAMBer. I think I would put a timing tag on my dash where timing tags belong. I could just pull the brads each year and install the current one. I hope you change to the new idea.

  30. I vote for the change .
If the old Hamb is gone, you'd better change the tag too. If y'all got to recieve an old tag great.
