30 axle question

I came across a 30 front end...axle, spring, wheels brakes, bones and all...

what, if any, other brakes can I use on that stock 30 model a axle? I don't think those 30 brakes are going to be adequate for today.

(and yes I searched and didn't find much.)

You can also use 48-56 F100 brakes.
