Where can you get a kit to weld on a front of a 32 coupe top on a Model A ford? Gas Monkey Garage had a 29 with such a kit on it. I've seen on in a magazine once but don't know where to get one.

This could get interesting! That's Brian Bass' coupe and he used 32 ford parts not a kit.

Even if there was a kit, I'm sure there would still be a lot of work to do to make it work and look right.

I'm sure Mr. Bass will really think it's neat you think his car is a kit.

not being a pain but why make that much of a change and have the guys laughing behind your back...
as flop said you can't easily make a model A into a '32,
IMO...it will always look like a wanna-be '32... if you NEED a '32, find one.

I'll see if I can find the article with the "kit". It may have been just a prototype they were looking at making, been a while. As far as why do it? Because I want to and just like most of us I don't build my car to please anyone but me. You can make fun of any car out there but why be cruel to a guy trying to make himself happy. Yes a lot of work but I actually think I can do it. May take some trial and error but I got way more time than money.

I saw an incomplete project for sale on Craigslist, here locally.

It was a '30/'31 Model A, with suicide doors, and a chopped and sectioned '32 windshield.

It was a VERY confusing looking vehicle.

Well, here you go........ Look at pages 19-23 on January 2018 HOT ROD magazine. Not a kit but I bet they are coming. I like it. Not a 32 but I still like it. Nice little blue 30 coupe.

  19. Why screw up a nice A? If ya want a 32 go get one.

Seems like the Ford design department knew what they were doing. Just because ya can do something doesn't mean ya should do it....

And that sedan in post #18 is one ugly MF!

IMO... the change between stock '28-'29 forward roof and '32 looks good, mostly because I don't care much for the '28-'29s in the first place
I like the stock '30-'31 look better therefor I don't think it needs any more "duecing"...
frame, gastank, dash, grillshell, hood, headlights and bar are enough...
    .
But then there "are" the factory wanna bees, [4] 1931 models that henry used as test models for 1932...
    Vicky, a 400, cabriolet, some fordor sedans ;
They used a tilted w/s, dropped floors, [2] door hinges, fewer welded seams ... etc.
But henry dropped the design pencil when he got to the windshield header panel on those models...
...Please weld your '32 header into a '28-'29 or a Vicky... IMO. only...

Is it the coupe with the blown Ardun? Killer car. A little 'overdone' for my tastes but it's not mine.

This is a old post but if anyone is still following this is my reason. I have a 31 coupe that has gone through a lot and f changes. Stock to chopped. After I chopped it it can’t hardly see out the window even with visor laid back a little. I love the look of the visor. I really like The Bass coupe! I found a 32 header that’s complete even with inner structure. I have a 34 3w so I’m kinda partial to the rounded header anyways. I’m going to create a thread soon but here is the plan. I’m going to lay posts back slightly, lose top hinge, keep all the deuce inners, and move dash support down about an inch to flush up bottom of windshield frame. I’m also going to put a 34 window crank in so I can roll window in and out. I think it will be awesome! Plus look in one of the pics I was at Bonneville this year we look like twins! Lol!!
