does anyone have pictures of a "z'd" model A frame? I have to Z my frame because the chop is very extrem and no head room if I just channel the body. I was thinking of doing a 4' drop in the front and a 8' in the rear?

4 foot in the front and 8 foot in the rear is quite a bit - ha. Mine is 4" in the front and 8" in the rear. You might consider making new rails for the front so you can stack them. I used 2"x4" box steel and pinched it down to 3", I could've welded the front horns back on for a stock appearance.

cool thanks, maybe I will just step it up in the rear...finding the ride hight is going to be the hard part because of the weight ajustment....

2x3 box tube, kickups are 45 degree. Cut the tube ends at 22.5 degrees so the junctions were same size/shape. Welded the tubes together, ground em flush, then welded 6 x 3 x 3/16 plate gussett on both sides of junction where tubes were welded.

It's a pickup and it's pretty low. We mocked it up with 2x4's, measured across the tops and adjusted everything for 2x3 tube. The Banjo in the background is not the axle that is in the truck, it's a Dana 44 from a 56 pickup with hangers welded on for a 40 ford rear spring. Don't remember the length off hand but it sits real good.

Nice truck, looks good. We went 12 in the front and 15 in the rear. F series are kinda channeled stock so it got pretty low on us but we like it.

Indeed! There appears to be a hose coming out of the lower rail, so presumably that's also got an open end. And I like the overspray on the starter solenoid. That looks like a '31 firewall, but not a '31 cowl.

That doesn't even look safe!!! All my seams were cut 22 1'2 degrees, welded, then a gusset on 2 sides of each seam. 16 gussets total. Lot of work but strong as hell.
