We've been having a ton of scammers lately. Essentially, they browse the wanted section and then send you a convo with something like this within: You send the guy an email and then he tries to talk you into sending him some money. Once you do, your money is gone because you didn't use PayPal. *** Anyway, I recently wrote some code that will cut these bastards off and spit on their sisters... However, I had to dive deep within the permissions system. If you see something wrong - holler at me!

Three different ones tried on the same want add over on the barn also. Sent from my SM-G973U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Had a guy contact me over something on a totally OT forum; I really, really want the item so offered to pay his inflated price, he insisted payment be only via PayPal "friends & family" which doesn't offer buyer protection. I sent him the money via "regular" PayPal along with some extra to cover his fees. He sent me a refund within 60 seconds along with a curt little note.
I am happy to pay the fee associated with a purchase, rather than taking the risk on a gift transaction.
That's like the first response you get anytime you post a "want ad" on many different forums. Freaking scammers should be drawn and quartered.
I probably got taken for $50 recently. I'm going to give it another week to be sure then I'll give out a name.
Ryan - check this link out from this HAMB member as it pertains to Paypal and what he was told by Paypal. These scammer bastards are using Paypal with other account names to scam people through Friends and Family Payments and Paypal won't intervein if there is a issue. At least that what this HAMB Member stated. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/justin-chole-maryland-area.1213240/
Thank you Ryan. I had one yesterday on my first ever wanted add for a 34' windshield frame. I appreciate all that you do for us.
Ryan, thanks for your time and effort. The names and e-mail addresses of the scammers should be published to protect all of us.
I didn't get much sleep last night... I absolutely ruined one of these scammer's online lives over the course of about 4 hours.
