I didnt read all the replies but this one in garage "popped" during a lightning storm. It opened the Ingram model 18 motor winding. I finally found on, clock stays unplugged. I would either do that or on surge protector. Sent from my SM-S320VL using Tapatalk
My uncle who is mostly responsible for my wrenching addiction had a body shop where I spent lots of time in...this one hung in his office for as long as I can remember. He recently retired and closed up, the only thing I asked for was this awesome clock for my garage...I treasure it Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Is this too old to use for a shop clock? French, guessing it is 1890's, note the finger nail marks from opening it to wind it. Bought a 50 pound Ook hook, will hang it up tomorrow. All info and history is welcome. Bob

This one is in my sons garage. It came from a Chevron station where he worked when he went to high school in Fountain Valley. It’s since closed but he remains friends with the owner and his son. My wife and I bought a lot of gas there when we moved to FV in 1971.
Thx Stogy..if I point the camera to the back of the his garage you see this OT race car. He added on to the existing double for his dirt Super Stock. The 3/4 roll up open to a covered slab double car size. All in Huntington Beach. The 40 was my first race car I bought in 1974. I gave it to him 2years ago because he wanted to make it street legal.
Got this little old wind-up clock from NZ, just dug it out and will have to find a spot in my shop.... Sent from my SM-G955F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

The same drives were in a lot of different clocks. Look for a working clock in the same hand size and swap
The movement in mine works. It was wired through the light and the old fluorescent died. It works great now, the bigger problem is if the power goes out. Taking the hands off is a bear so I unplug it and wait til whatever time it says and plug it in
