Tony – You're not all wrong – it is a (54 Plaza) Plymouth. I'm proud of it, but it's no way near that icon.

  5. Well, it ain't a Plymouth, but Rytang's De Soto is certainly a notable '50's Mopar custom.

My friend, Kenny, has a 53 that I began work on, and has continued now on his own. Not a clone, but some similarities. Chopped, a sedan, not a hardtop, Lincoln tails. But Ken is putting his own style to it now. Scooped quarters, hand made Packard grill (not the one shown here, he made one out of sheet metal, that is 2 teeth longer), pancaked hood, etc 100_0775.JPG 100_1608.JPG 1112171400.jpg 20643518_10214603855828945_1165162424052331186_o.jpg .

If Bob Hirohata had taken one to barris shop, and told them to do it up for Motorama, and money was not an issue...well things might be different today in regards to best car to customize...my .02.

Here it is with the new, hand made (except for the teeth) grill. Amazing piece of workmanship! The wider grill looks so much better. 100_2119.JPG
