Spent my life around cars, racing, street rodding, boat racing, motorcycles, body shops, speed shops, garages, and, of late, diesel shops.
An uncle wrenched a fuel dragster in the late 50's. Another uncle drove modified production and gas class drag cars from the early 60's to the late '70's. Dad had a couple rods ('34 Tudor, and a '35 5-window), and a nice daily driver 53 F-100, along with a CLEAN '72 Triumph 500. All Dads friends had some kind of cool car for the time. So, I grew up around this kind of stuff.
As a kid, I had a go kart. My first car was a '70 Torino. Later I got a '71 Nova, and a slew of cars after that.
I spent time with my son racing quarter midgets, and Half midgets. He is grown now, so, we can dig deep into the cars again.
Just sold a '82 Malibu Wagon with a 472 Caddy engine, lowered and looking stock except for the wheels. Next project is going to be much older...I'm collecting parts.
