There's more, but all of them are WIP, so I won't bother listing them.

Well, I supose my love afair with the automobile can be contributed to my dad. All my life I've been around vehicles, be it cruising around with my dad in his '53 Chev or areound the race track . . . or the El Camino . . . or . . . reminiscing now.
Anyway, back in August of 2007 I ended up in the hospital after falling in the shower a few days earlier and rupturing my bowel. Of course, I didn't realize that until a few days later when I woke up unable to move from the chest down. So now I'm a T4 parapalegic. Spent over a year in the hospital, and in the last 3 years went through 14 surgeries (mostly because of incompitent doctors not doing it right the first time) and nearly died a few times, plus had a physotheropist break my femer. Ya, free healthcare, you get what you pay for.
Anyway, once I was alive enough and accepted the fact that I would most likely never walk again, I immediately started thinking about how to drive my '49 Ford again.
Now I finally have a decent doctor and am doing better than I have been the last 3 years, so this spring the plan is to get back behind the wheel (at long last). Unfortunitly this means loosing the flathead and 4-speed, but that being the case we decided to put a diesle in it.
I also hope to get back on he racetrack soon. And I may as well plug my facebook group; Handicapped Hotrods
