About
Well i live here in sunny southern california, and was lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood that was home to a couple of hot rodders. Nice guys to a 7 year old kid that didn't quite grasp the magnitude of what he was looking at, but knew it was something cool that he wanted for himself someday.
My interests changed over the years but cars were always in my mind.
At 17 i became friends with an owner of a custom shop and that's when i got my first 'shop' job cleaning tools, floors and bathrooms. I couldn't have been happier, i don't think i was paid, but it didn't matter. The next 4 years or so i spent every waking moment that i could at the shop and somewhere in there became an employee. I learned a lot from being a dumb ass kid in a shop of seasoned pros.
Life goes on though and somehow i pissed away my dream job and landed in the field of telecommunications. I must say that i much prefer the grease of the shop to crawling in dirty attics and crawl spaces any day.
So here i am now, building my first hot rod. Funny that 7 year old me didn't speak up years ago, instead letting me waste money and time on OT projects, when all i ever wanted was a hot rod.Interact
