It started in the winter of 8th grade, by dragging home my granddad's '57 Chevy sedan. In that December, using a grain scoup shovel to tunnel through the snow to get under the car, I removed the cast iron powerslide. I have been going at it the hard way ever since. My philosophy is that any vehicle can be saved, no matter how broken, or rusty. My dad would tell me, "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."
