- 1951 Dodge 4 door, 1938 Willys 4 door sedan, 39 Chevy truck, start of a old roadster based on a set of 1918 Studebaker doors, and "T" coupe cowl.
I live in Manitoba, Canada. I have loved cars, particularly old ones from an early age. My school work and Bible college notes are full of hot rod sketches with a little bit of class content attached. I got a '38 Willys when I was 12. This project has been sidelined until interest is completely rekindled. At 16, I bought a Model T, wanting to build a high tech bucket, though my tastes have changed and I now want a fun nostalgic roadster. This too was sidelined until I matured enough to actually know what I was doing with it. My wife blessed me with a 1951 Dodge sedan which was running and driving and completely original. This car was a better project for a beginner like me. I was able to install a V8 and get it licensed about 2 years ago, thought I am still working on a few mechanical gremlins. I am hoping to get it functioning as a good driver and get the "T" going for summer time fun. The Willys? Not sure yet. Would make a great gasser obviously, but I'm not sure I'd have the time to race. I'm a little to sentimental about it to let it go just yet. People think I'm nuts to want to drive an old car year round, especially here in Manitoba where winters are crazy, but that is what I intend to do with the old Dodge. I also hope to go on a road trip with the roadster someday.Interact
