I'm Kenny Allen, Program Director and Morning Show Host at Texas Mix 105.3 broadcasting out of Brenham, Tx. We blanket the Westside of Houston and surrounding counties with Texas Country, Rockabilly, Outlaw Classics, and Trucker music.

I am a lifelong fan of drag racing and hot rods. I worked in the drag racing industry for several years working "on set" for the television show "PINKS" in 07 and 08 and worked at the best drag strip in the US (my opinion) Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Tx for several years and still call those folks family.
I like MANY different cars from A's and T's to the big fendered coupes from the 30s-40s, gassers, 60s cruisers and wagons, even a couple of the 70s muscle cars and custom vans.
But my heart belongs to the 49-51 Shoebox, the 53 Ford Customline, and the 239 flathead V8.
I'm not into a lot of extreme body modification. I've seen some that look good chopped and dropped and stretched and sectioned in the hood but to me, they look just fine the way they were built. Lower it a couple of inches and put a scalloped paint job on it, throw a couple extra carburetors on there, hang a fox tail from the antenna and let it ride.
