1956.. picked up a copy of R&C at the newsstand, then CC, R&R, then HRM, started pinstriping friends cars in 58, continued with mags as the resource until early 90s, when I finally could afford a car. Got an old hot rod from Santa Ana, CA originally built in the 50s wOlds... later 57 283... NOW Caddy with LaSalle box. Still has narrowed 49 Olds rear. Auburn dash, 40 pickup col... hiboy sometimes, sometimes w/fenders
