This is from National Dragster December 13,1963.Dick Swecker score T.E. in Emporia $ 2000 final. Dick ran 186.97 at a 8.60.This is the same Lyndwood that he got from Pat Bilbow in 1959. And won 1960 NHRA National with .Dick race this Lyndwood for 4 years ! That saying something about his driving and the people at Lyndwood who built it.

Note the downward pitch of the engine. This was pretty advanced for the early 60's.

What's the advantage of the down angle of the engine ?
