After a squirt of Mystery Oil into each cylinder and a month to let it soak in, the old 350 turned over by hand. Decided to see if it will run. But not before some critical new parts.

Someone's idea of a good thing. Butchered the firewall and didn't provide any backing plate, so the firewall flexed really bad when you stepped on the pedal. Note the notched-out drip rail. All this went to the trash.

Typical of what the fenders and headlight buckets looked like when we got it home. I actually was able to save the headlight buckets, but not without a fair amount of reconstructive surgery being done to them.
