  2. Looking great!!! How far do you plan on taking this one? Keep the banger? Juice brakes? Dropped axle? One of these days I'll have to stop by and check it out.

Yeah, kinda worked out that way. Certainly wasn't the plan but it all is good.

    Thanks Rick.

Swing by anytime. You know I don't think I will do too much more to it really. It's a great car as is.

Jon, hope the new haircut is has settled in!
Swing by before you start school back up if you like.

When removing leaves, is there any standard tech suggestion? Like every other? Or 2, 3,?? shortest, then every other?
Obviously, you may have just removed broken ones, but assuming a full set?

I had a complete other spring set I robbed pieces out of.
I believe I pulled the top, one of the middles, the. The one above the main leaf.

It was wat too soft and I could bottom it out by hand.

I put the longest one back in and thats how it sets now. And I think it'll work welll.

I know that didn't directly answer your question. I'm not sure of a definitive proper way.

    Hey Tex,
Is that all you did for the rear? I did a T spring with a couple leaves out in my coupe and while it did lower it some, it definitely wasn't 3 inches.

I've made some progress but nothing worth pics.
All the welding is done know, just grinding.

Then the garnish moldings / windscreen.

Thought I would post an update.
The chop is done other than spotting it in. The windshield is in and the swing out brackets are usable / fitted. As are all the garnish moldings. The wood is back in and fits really nice too. I have a friend trimming down the rear three pieces of glass right now.

As far as stance goes, I really like the rake it has. I don't want to lose that but I am kinda thinking the rear should come down and inch or so. Maybe I will pull a couple of leafs out. I did a T spring on the last one and while it did lower it, it was also fairly soft. I am also thinking of moving the license plate / light to the center of the car.

This one is pretty close to being sent down the road.

I also bought new running board mats, I will put those on when the seat goes back in.

In the picture at the top, that was with 3leaves out, I put one back in.
seems to ride fine in the limited driving I have done.

[IMG]Here are a coupe update pics
I put a new top on it with about half of the wood replaced as well.
went forward with the license / light relocation. Modified the original spare mount to hold them.
lastly shows the nice seat it has.

I was going to say something about how you could just touch up the cut with black lacquer, but looks like you've got it! Cool project, I always say 'noooo' in my head when I see an original body cut up, but in the end... I always like it better hahaha

Your license plate and tail light relocation looks so cool. Big improvement.
