Projects Latest addition - 56 Ford

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by travj31, Oct 31, 2013.

  1. Wasn't really in the market for another wagon after I picked up my slightly OT Impala wagon this summer, but after taking another look at this one last week (have thought about buying this one multiple times over the last couple of years) I decided I couldn't pass it up this time around. It's got the factory 292 Y-Block adapted to a later model 3-speed with OD. Car is no show piece but will make a very nice cruiser for me and the Mrs. this upcoming summer. No major plans for the time being, but hopefully one day I can freshen up the 292 and maybe give it a fresh shine. Thanks to fellow HAMB'er Hot Rod Crazy for making this deal happen.

Great looking old wagon and doesn't look like it needs much. Nice score!

  8. Thanks for the compliments guys...

Iceman- yeah I know they good bad, but this one has actually all been replaced upfront so I am good to go and the frame is really nice. Overall it's pretty solid old Ford.

Great Wagon, I love all the 55 and 56 Fords.

I don't think you could get a better color combination.

    Have fun with it!

Love the black paint with red and white interior. '55-'56 Fords rock and the wagons even more so!

  12. Sorry I'm not more help, but I have no idea and I've already buried it in my storage for the year and literally can't get to it to check.

Thanks guys... Yeah I like the color combo myself. If/when I ever repaint it, I'll definitely be keeping it black.
