There was a really nice concept sketch in an issue of traditional rod and kulture a few issue back. Also I recall seeing a nice black one recently too.

But the best ever on this hard to customize car is designed by janne Kutja.

The line art shows how hard it is to make this car a really good looking custom. The proportions of the stock Car are not ideal for a custom... but it could be doe for sure.

And HERE is a link to the R&C article Janne did.

wow...really!? it had '40 ford chevrons in back, and amc 360 and the owner said it had a "light chop" i dont see it but he said 1.5". plus im willing to bet that this wouldnt qualify as a gasser. and it is most definitely lowered. light custom, but custom none the less.

Sorry but Rik is right that is not a custom at all. I think Rik would know what a custom is.

conceded. Thank you for being polite. I was just trying to help. Rik: my apologies, sometimes its the most conservative pics are those that provide the most inspiration. I know a lot, but realize my place as an FNG.

By using a measurement one can find out, i.e. the height of the stock headlight surround and scaling from that it has EXACTLY NO chop.
That car is Pro-Street, not custom.

There is a chopped Willys I have seen in a mag, I am looking for a pic but.......well its elusive!

    Doc.

Yeah, the rear wheel/tire size pegs that one as a rod, not a custom.
