I loved the build thread he did on this. I hope to see it in person when I'm in Texas sometime.

That’s my idea of a custom, less is more. The lines are well defined and smooth. Details are off the charts. Much more beautiful than a lot of the so called customs through the years. Job well done! That style will never be dated in my book.

Thank you @Ryan and @Tom davison for selecting my car for a feature at LSRU. It's so surreal, someone pinch me. :) Thank you both for the kind words and awesome photos, it is a huge honor!

We need a hires shot of the photo you use for your avatar... Tom's too short to shoot the top!

  14. Great write up on one of the best customs out there. The forward look mopars had some great styling to start with and this just refines and perfects it. Its no surprise that these cars were good starts to pull bits off to add to their Ford and Chevy customs.

  15. It's even more killer in person. Well-deserved attention to a great car, and even greater dude! His dad is pretty cool too and a helluva painter. He's got a pretty slick 64 Caddy.

I found a a 57 Chrysler like this local last year. I thought I had a deal, and the guy sold it. If I ever find another, …. Style for miles.

I couldn't agree more on this post! Exner designed these, correct? Let me add one more, though a latter mode

    As stated before,

" This is what a real time machine should look like "

If H.G. Wells, were to travel through time, and had shown up at the recent LSRU, he would have stolen this marvelous creation and hauled ass into the future, with real style!

I'm having a really hard time getting over how overwhelmingly perfect the car is. It's one thing to see it in photos, but when you see it in person and the photos just confirm your impressions... There really isn't much you can say.

Tom and I were talking earlier... There is no disparaging the Inman car. It is what it is and you can't really best Joe.

BUT, this car is more suited to my tastes. I think the side trim helps break up the slab side created by the huge fins... and I much prefer it unchopped because I love those stock b-pillars and the huge rear glass. Also, the grille speaks to me... and that hood scoop?

    Good god man...

Love this car, so classy, although I'm not a 'black car' person.
It has more of a similarity to the Doug Osterman '57 De Soto that Joe Bailon painted in one of his signature Candy Apple Red back in 1960, than the Inman Chysler.

  28. Moving the license plate to the bumper and smoothing the decklid was a subtle but major improvement as well.

  29. This car and the builder deserve every exclamation they get. There's been a small handful of truly outstanding new customs built here on the HAMB and this is one of them.
