Edsel Ford and E.T. Gregorie: Out of Print!

Edsel Ford and E.T. Gregorie: Out of Print!

Jumping back into my ‘books you must have before they disappear’ series, one of my all time favorites on quintessential Ford design is the S.A.E. title ‘Henry Ford and E.T. Gregorie’. Over 330 pages of 1928 – 1949 factory shots of your favorite Fords, Mercurys and Lincolns (plus a few trucks and tractors for good measure!), all created under the tasteful direction of Edsel Ford and ‘Bob’ Gregorie’s Design team, before Henry ran them all off. You’ll learn more about the vision Edsel had to pull together an in-house group of designers and artists, utilized European automobile aesthetics and speed boat language to make the stunning cars we still drool over today. I bought this book in 2004 and luckily it looks like you can still find a decent copy with a little searching. My only advice is to confirm that you’re purchasing an original hardcover version, as there have been a few softcover reproductions floating out there!
