Bonneville 1957 Film in COLOR!

Yes, the color footage of early hot rodding keeps surfacing! This is a Wynn Oil promotional film from 1957 called “The Proof is in the Performance”, documenting the Kenz & Leslie 777 Streamliner at the Bonneville Speed Trials in glorious color (16mm perhaps?), and it’s fantastic. The Mid to Late 50s were the absolute ‘golden days’ of SCTA at the Salt Flats in my mind, and this movie proves it. Witness every cool race car on earth, from lakesters to belly tankers, to a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing ‘sport car’ taking a run down the course. Enjoy!
