Vicky’s gotta Nice Butt…

Vicky’s gotta Nice Butt…

Its pretty universally accepted, isn’t it? Rain is wet, skunks stink, and Ford’s original Victoria body has a very appealing tail. She was built with nice long doors, much like the Tudor, and Victoria also had folding front seats for access to the roomy rear seat. Where Vicky went one step further was that behind the rear seat was luggage space, by way of that sweet little  “bustle? on her rear contour. Other sexy features were the with visor-free slightly slanted windshield and her lowered steering column, much like the Deluxe Phaeton. Vicky could be had with one of two hair styles: Steel rear quarters with the standard fabric insert, or with a full padded fabric top (aka ‘Leather Back’) . Victoria was added to the Model A line very late in 1930 at $580 (F.o.B.), with less than 6500 Victoria’s built in the final days of that model year.

For 1931, her bustle was back with bang and nearly 34,000 Vicky’s were sold to lucky owners. After that success, Victoria stuck around Ford for a few more years, looking every bit as tempting in the backside for 1932, and despite a shrinking tail, she was still getting backwards glances and whistles in ’33 and ’34. Today, many hot rodders are still unable to resist her southern charms, and who can blame them? Vicky knows what she’s got…
