Why are 60 year old cars cooler than new ones? Quite simply, it’s STYLE. The romance of exterior design, the simplicity of the drivetrain mechanics, and the durability of the materials all really boil down to a preference in the classic, timeless style of our old cars, trucks and motorcycles. By the late 1960s the style began to get overridden by safety, engineering and economy- And Style lost.
