Flat Tire

I found this video randomly on YouTube. The premise is charming and simple – a group of kids hop on their bikes and go to the drag races for the day. One of them was thoughtful enough to bring along his Super 8. What he captures is a glimpse into typical early drag racing and a laid back sensibility that is hard to grasp, but easy to imagine. It’s capped by a ride home that is interrupted by a flat tire… on a bridge… Their unexpected moment doesn’t ruin the day, it’s just another part of it. Beautiful.
