A friend from CA sent it to me last week. Surprised at all the old guys music taste. Good to see a local guy in it, Ronnie Roaster..

YouTube says the uploaded hasn't made it available, presumably outside of the USA.

  9. That because the movie was made by Brian Darwas.

He is a member of the Rumbers car club and hot rod builder form the Bronx. As well a bass player in The Scrapers and the former bass player in the band Roger Miret and the Disasters.

Roger Miret is a of the founding members of the Rumbers

That was a very outstanding video and I can't thank you enough for it. Thanks for posting, helps to understand where Ryan is coming from and why he wants to keep street rods out of this site.

Excellent, I learned a few thing about flat heads, the music fit the movie.

Excellent movie, but the music didn't fit the period of the cars. Too often raucous noise that detracted from the narration. JMTC

Yep music didn’t fit the period, however in the 50s Rock and Roll was rebellious and at first not well excepted by the ESTABLISHMENT similar to what the music on the movie is today. BTW I love the music of the 40s and 50s as well as most music.
Building and driving a traditional Hot Rod doesn’t fit the mainstream Again! How cool.

  16. Apparently, you didn't see my earlier post explaining the music, or remember that the Hot Rod Revival of the mid 1990s to the early 2000s was largely fueled by young guys who came out of the punk rock scene.

No, I read it and got it but still disagree. I believe that period hot rods should be accompanied by period music. Our local cruise -ins anyway play oldies not punk-rock. We can agree to disagree and, of course the creator of the film can choose any kind of sound they want. Can't say I've heard many people singing/humming a punk rock song, though.

I was able to watch it here in Canada at this address:

I give an opposable thumbs up for the music.
