I just got a solid, original, black 55 2 door 210 sedan. It has 17 inch Americans on it now, but I want to put some 15s on it. Would like to see some pics of chrome reverses, slots, Cragars Torq-Thrusts, any older looks to help me make up my mind. thanks.

Go to my link and scroll down to the tri five gasser photo album which is more than full of gassers, street freaks, super stockers and other tri fives with the wheels you are looking for. Be prepared to stay busy for awhile.

  3. I went with the fake halibrand/et III looking wheel. I like it real well.

so, how about posting some pics of your '55 and have some one photo shop wheels on it? chrome steel with spider caps sounds good to me.

I had chrome reverse with baby moons on my 55 and hated the look.

I generally don't like Cragar's, my only exception is for tri-5 chevies...Here's mine, don't mind the filth, I'm trying hard to get some paint on this thing in the near future.

I saw this bad boy a few years back at the L.A. Roadsters car show, I think it looks pretty classy with the Cragers and 1 inch WW. but thats just me.

I'm going to assume you want more of a custom feel for the '55 than hot rod, but I threw in the others for good measure.

Astro Supremes always look good on tri-5 Chevys as long as they're lowered and with white-line tires.

    Other 5-spokes couldn't hurt either..

Stock steelies or even 'caps would work.

Can't go wrong with chrome reverses either. I'd run white-line tires like on the yellow 2-door post.

Although I did dig SkullCracker's '55 with the black wheels and WWWs.

But Roth had taste too. More of a hot rod though, if you're leaning towards that..

    Hope this helps. :)

Haven't found any yet-kind of waiting for swap meet season. Although I do have some rally wheels.

Look at the swap meet for sure. You are bound to find something there. Rally wheels naa! Find a muscle car guy at the swap meet. Get some cash for them and put the cash towards your other wheels man.

Hey, any reason to post a pic... I was kinda in the same boat, my 55 came with 17" Torq Thrust copies... I swapped them with Cragar Eliminators off my '55 Chevy pickup.. the 17's still gotta go but they look a little less like ass on my pickup...
