Built by a number of different folks including Austin Speed Shop and Chip Foose... It'll be at Camp Mabry.

Cool, last time I saw this car it was quite a ways from finished. Nice to see it spinning those one-off wheels.

I thought they were possibly reversed Mopars so I asked the guy. He said they are "one-offs" he had made to resemble some from a Mickey Thompson streamliner. I don't even want to think about what that cost. Let me add, the look spot on in person.

The guys that brought gold coupe never left it for a minute and denied owning it. my buddy i was with asked if it belonged to a musician all the answer he got was maybe?
we both got curious who owns it? It has fantastic detail and workmanship even though the fake pantina might have taken away some from the exceptional quality it is still way cool this had to be a megabuck build with an end result better than just deep pockets could achieve My hats off to the builders but who is the owner????????

And the plot thickens! I'm guessing Billy F Gibbons - he's got a good eye for cars and the name Fender Less is kinda a play on words if you think about it. I'll bet people on here know?

not sure why it has to be such a mystery. maybe a publishing deal or something. or maybe just one of those things where people in the know keep others out just because. |

It would only matter to me if it was mine and I didn't know about it.
Whoever owns it has a cool ride, kudos to them!

First thread I've seen on this car... What's the scoop here?? I heard something about Foose having the wheels made for this, or something. But, I don't want to start a rumor. SO! What is up with this thing?? I really did those wheels, actually. I'm curious about them! Why don't we know more about this car???

Yes, Foose did the wheels....
The car is owned by a good pal of mine from Dallas/Ft. Worth. I don't know if he wants to be named, so I won't name him. He wasn't at the show, but was nice enough to have his buddies bring it down for me. I love that car and wanted folks to see it.

I was fortunate to see this car at Piston`s and Paint a few weeks ago and I got to look it over again at the Revolution. It was my favorite car at both events. For those that are hating on it... well, haters gotta be hatin on something...
![]() As for the wheels, at first I thought they were early Indy Car wheels. Upon further inspection I saw the "Foose" name out by the outer lip and then I knew. A big tip of the hat to the builder / designer. You nailed it. |
