Ryan, you won't feel too displaced as we say "yawl" here and you'll likely see some Cowboy Cadillacs with TX plates ridin' on the MD highways. Besides, once you go through those Armory gates, you'll feel right at home amongst the hot rods and like minded folks! Welcome to the Jalopyrama!!

Ryan, I have friends in the MA/ME area who have one of the coolest cars in the country; a replica '35 Ford Indy car, complete with 21 stud flathead. And they drive it in Greatrace: it has a lot of x/c miles on it. We all speak the same language. Like 'Irish-Americans' I prefer to look at them as 'Boston-Californians'.

It's not the accents you need to be worried about... It's the food! They think Itallian food is spicy up there! Any trip to the northeast requires at the very least the packing of some jalepeno so you can taste anything!

Hope to see you at the meet-n-greet. PS. Do NOT wear a Dallas Cowboys jersey.

Is this a warm up trip, before the jaunt down under?
You'll do fine Ryan, "Hot Rod" is the universal language. Have a great time.

Hey Ryan, just be yourself, boots and all. Being a Yank myself(Upstate NY),they'll appreciate your "differences". You're famous, right? Have fun and hope you're enjoying the trip. Great video, heading out in the bucket today, but probably not at 131! Cat

The trouble with you guys in the southwest is that you've burned out your taste buds with those jalepeno peppers. Did my RVN training at Ft. Huachuca , Arizona and burned a few taste buds there. Give me a good ole steamed Maine lobster on a bed of steamed clams, and some cold beer ......now that's living.

Ryan, I'm sure you will enjoy your visit. Most likely it will be one of the best events you've attended, and you'll be back again for another Jalopyrama.

I'll see your 131 and raise you 142. Ok, it's a SBC, but it's pretty budget and the car is real Henry steel. This is also from 2011.
