This is what it looked like after I started to catalog what I had...
NOw, I need to find parts that I'm missing.
For the most part the Riley Head is all there except the push rods. The Winfield Carbs might be workable, one is missing the upper bell..

Wow.. I want that head. Intake ports on both sides. Never seen that on a Riley before. Very cool.

GREAT FIND! Reminds me of how my Riley 4Port looked when I piled it all into the back of a pickup.

Can you not salvage the original body? Would be a shame to to re-use it if at all possible...Looks like its gonna be a fun project!

The plan is to hang the original body up on the side of the barn.. Build two new bodies... one for the banger car, and another for a six cyl car w/updated parts so I have a car that I can goof off in..

Very interesting Riley head. I have an original two port head on an "A" motor but have never seen one with an intake on each side? Would love to see some more pictures of that and hear from anyone that might know a little history on the setup.

Sometime back when... someone added two new ports on the drivers side, making a '4 port head'.

I love looking at and drooling over the various 32 3w, the barn find gassers, ect. but that is bad ass!

  25. Very cool!

I'd try to safe as much of the body as possible though...

I hate you! Thats jealousy talking, why can't I find something like this.....I will look forward to the build.....you know you want to sell it to me!

  27. I don't even know what to say, that is such a great find! Is anyone in the family exited that you are going to restore it or are they just happy to get that junk out of there? Time to start asking relatives about old family photos.

I was the only one that showed any interest in the ol racer... So my uncle just gave it to me.... No old photos.. My uncle wasn't that well off and being a teenager... but him and his brothers(all in their late 70's) have great stories of running it up the road between towns..
