I really, really love the look of the Excelsior tires from Coker, but the price is steep. Does anyone here run them? How do you like them?

Yeah, I have a set. They ride like radials should... and look really damn cool. I don't know about wear as I've only ran them a few times.

Kirk, are you going to keep the wide 5's or run wires? I kind of like the wide 5's. That thing is going to be cool either way. Looking forward to seeing some more progress on it.

edit: Oh, just checked out the other thread.

You're tossing the whole other car and starting over? I was wondering why you were making another frame. You guys must be smoking some good stuff up there lately.

They are pricey, but worth the money in my estimation. The hub caps are from Briz Bumperss

Yes, we have them on the back of our Bonneville Modified Roadster. The 18" size, they are shaved and trued but work great. We put unshaved on the front to get it on in the trailer so it won't drag. Cool looking tires. We run a full bore Flathead with a T-5 and a quickchange. Haven't broke the record yet, but we have run 112.00 MPH--TV
