My Truck Consists of : 80's S-10 Chassis with a 79 Malibu front frame clip on it.I boxed the from front to back and filled all unnessary holes. The from has been shortened 6" in the middle,6" in the rear,10" in the front. The rear leaf spring have been moved inboard. It has Malibu front brakes and steering.79 Nova 8.5 Rear. 285/70/15 Tires on the back,205/60/15 on the front 350/th350 powertrain The Cab is mostly stock, just smoothed and filled a little, new floors pan, rocker, door sills and cab corner.Stock drip rails have been shaved and new molded ones added.Fenders and Grille are pretty must stock.Nose of hood has be lengthen and Fill.Top of hood has been filled and will be peaked. The Box is from a 1949 Chev and has been narrowed and shortened to suit.I hung original international fenders on it. Inside I installed a narrowed 1950 Ford car dash,Malibu Column,Brake and Gas pedals and booster from malibu as well.I mounted the booster behind the dash to save space under the Hood. I'll be post some pic's soon
I wonder how the Chevy rear fenders off the box would have looked with the International cab? Pretty similar.
I am finishing up a '41 with the same style cab on a ranger chassis,'88 chevy SWB stepside box with out the plastic and '40 ford fenders. The fenders look great, the box was free 'cause the plastic was bad. A daily for cheap with a Jap turbo diesel. I'll post pictures when finished.
Hey - we'd love your input at the Definitive S-10 Vehicle Swap thread! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274702 Maybe we have some drawings of brackets you could use! ~Jason
For what it's worth, the '40s K series International trucks used Ford door latch mechanisms, same ones as '38-'47 Ford truck.
