Well it's back together. I haven't driven this thing in about 4 years, a crappy job stole all my time. I've been gone from that job a little over a year now. I redid the interior, added the twin side draft carbs, and made the backing plates from frying pans. I originally built it about 15 years ago. I did everything on it myself, paint, interior (except for sewing the seat covers), wiring, ect. The new interior took some thought. The side trim is from a 55 Dodge Royal Lancer, the trim on the dash is from a Harley front fender. The seats are from an MG, cut up by me to fit. I narrowed them, and made the bottoms. The inserts are Crocodile. Like I said, I had to have the seat covers done by a shop, as my wifes sewing machine wouldn't sew through the layers of vinyl. They did a decent job, I've seen better, and I've seen worse. I'm just glad it's done. I have a small problem, I think it's with the carbs, that might keep me from driving it to the HAMB drags. That would suck, as that was the goal. Dean
One of the best looking cars I have seen in a long time. The seats and door pannels are an interesting touch.
Here's some pictures of the engine. I'm hoping the engine problem is going to be plugs and wires. I'm going to adjust the valves too. Thanks, Dean (ps) Here's another picture of the interior.
Dammit Boy, ya done good! But you told a lie. You said it was finished, and any fool knows a rod is NEVER finished. Keep up the good work....
It's still not running right. The carbs are coming apart tomorrow, hopefully that will fix it. It will rev up just fine, but falls flat on it's face at about half throttle when you try to drive it. I changed the plugs, and plug wires today, I also adjusted the valves. I'm running out of time, damn it! Dean
