My friend has a '66 lesabre with a 340c.i. engine. He can't seem to find anything in the way of intakes or headers or valve covers. Anyone running a 340 that has a line on anything? Thanks in advance.
Do a search in the archives. Someone posted a bunch of buick parts suppliers awhile back. I think it was fathack?
Here's the link he is talking about... I bookmarked it! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=120558
Oh yea, this one had a lot of good stuff too... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95329
I think 340 valve covers are the same as Buick 350, but to my knowledge, no one ever made an aftermarket intake for a 340. They're not like a 300 or a 350; they're all by themselves.
www.postonbuick.com makes some performance parts for the 340. The 340 is a unique beast and was only made for two years. So its hard to get parts for. If you buy the 340 headers off their site they are made for a different body than the le sabre and you will have to alter the drivers side to get around the steering box (ask me how I know that). The previous threads posted here are really helpful!
