We typically don't run articles on the weekend, but this is a bit of a special occasion. See, it's the 62nd anniversary of the Khougaz Roadster's 123 mph run at El Mirage. A few of us got to spend some time with the Khougaz recently and I thought it ... To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here. |

I am embarrassed to say I was not familiar with this car until now. If you only glanced over the photo's go back. Look at the photo of the rear showing the belly pan. Study that shit. Thats as real as it gets. My mind is officially blown.

If you are not familiar with his car you need to get the Rodders Journal issue it was featured in. Very cool read

The front end is as beautiful as anything I've ever seen.......
Dropped and filled axle, 1936ish wishbones reshaped to perfection, custom made steering hoop..... amazing The shock mounts are welded and molded to the top of the axle and there are crazy tall upper shock mounts that double as headlight stands....... Really kind of awkward if you think about them, but the look so perfect overall. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice "write up" Bob. Not too sentimental but appropriaetly appreciative of the genre. If the word iconic can be applied to any hot rod this is it.

The exhuast is amazing it runs all the way to the back inside the belly pan, but there are caps that come off and pipes that bolt on in their place to run open......
