Sounds like a great trip. Been there once in 2002. Pedals and shifter are the same as here, just on the wrong side of the car. Shifting with the left hand takes some getting used to though.
I am sure the lads will have fun....the post Ryan wrote is awesome, I can relate to the first part. When we fly from here in Perth we leave at midnight and get into LA at 9am the same day...but its 5 hours on plane 1 then 14 hours on plane 2. The last 2 times I have done it I have pulled the driving card when we arrive......I tell my fellow passengers to shut the hell up for 20 mins so I can get my head around driving on the wrong side! it was hard work with 8 of us for bonneville 2009!! I had 8 backseat drivers! for some reason on that same trip we always semed to be put away from other people at the restaurants we visited........ But you guys in the USA get some booze we dont....750ml Corona! (25oz ??)
I know allllll about Surreal life in a strange city......it's even stranger to read that perspective on your own home town....Cool! Get some real Melbourne Aussie food; Greek St Italian Mafia Underbelly in Lygon St China Town Thai Restaurant's Mexican in Fitzroy Sushi rolls on every corner then all of it while surronded by hookers in St Kilda, by the beach etc etc etc Ultimate Melbourne weather today...Get Out There!!!!!
Hold the Presses...... Is this upsurge 'just a coincidence'??? http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/mo...up-to-reputation/story-fn7x8me2-1226250308478 VIOLENCE kept police busy on King St early yesterday amid renewed calls to stop the bloodshed on Melbourne's sleaziest strip. Radical laws being considered to end violence in King St I'm glad you brought your own Lawyer, Ryan!<!-- google_ad_section_end(name=story_headline) --><!-- google_ad_section_end(name=story_introduction) -->
Radical laws being considered to end violence in King St Typical Aussie kneejerk media..."radical" laws. Yeah right. Rat
Hey Sam, maybe it's coz Ryan's story has a kind of familiar ring to it. I gotta admit that I was a bit pissed they visited one of my neighbours and didn't stop in at my place. But then I realised I wasn't home anyhow.
Shift pattern? Just the same..just the same... Only the 'shifter' is known as a 'gearstick. And a 'standard transmission' is known as a 'manual gearbox'
