My dad's first car was a '49 Merc (all done up) when he was a senior in high school in '55. Grew up with it, all the relatives and family friends had old cars (still do). Bought my '67 Mustang when I was 13, after working all summer (when I was 12) filling up 50 pound bags of rock salt (in the sun) for $4.00 an hour under the table. I love these cars, the history, the culture, and the people who own them are the best!

My new project, as of summer '08, is a '57 Ford F100 P'Up. I have the entire front body work off a '60, so it's time to blend the truck and see what happens. The old 6 with three-on-the-tree is gone, now it has a 302 V8 with a C4 transmission. The crap velour bucket seat from the 80s build went in the dumpster and have been replaced with an original bench seat, bringing it back proper. I'm looking for ideas or inspiration: chopped/lowered/hopped up??? Throws some ideas my way, I would appreciate the input! I'm not interested in a trophy truck, just a good ol'cruiser with some style. I figured '57 was the first year Ford made a straight bed, might as well do something different!
