As a teen, I built model cars, my uncle owned a body repair shop, I lived on a farm in Minnesota where my father NEVER traded in old cars. The combination of all these things allowed me to have built and driven a "streetrod" while a senior in highschool. This was the 1941 Plymouth coupe I still own today. Many years ago, however, I started to dismantle this car in hopes to have a real street rod trying to hold true to using Mopar components. Well, that's where it has stalled and I am trying to get fired up again.
Finally, I have the upmost repsect for those who are building street rods in their single car garges by using found parts and creativity using limited means instead turning over no-limit credit cards to specilaity rod shops.
