I am originally from Manchester in England (The Industrial North) as its known also the rainy city, we had a Hotrod club in the 80's called "The Rainy City Cruzers" not sure if they are still around.
Being British I gravitate towards the British classics in particular Jaguar I restored a XKE (E Type) a few years back and also a XJS-C I had a spare drive train and axles which I kept in storage. I always wanted to build my own Hotrod and surfing Craigslist I spotted a 1940 Chevrolet 3/4 ton pickup a perfect candidate for my Jaguar V12 drive train. That was spring time 2011 so still a lot ot do, but as the wife says,
"it keeps me out of the pub"
