I grew up in Santa Barbara, California. DOB 1948. Many of my neighbors drove hot rods or very mild customs. These guys were three or four years older than me and cool enough to let me hang around. Went to the Bakersfield Fuel and Gas Championships in '64 & '65, Drags at Santa Maria and others. Road races at the Goleta Airport with Corvettes, Cobras and Ol' Yaller.Interact
